IT IS VERY TRUE THAT LEARNING MAY COME FROM MANY DIFFERENT PLACES, AS LONG AS WE ARE OPEN FOR IT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was playing Tea party with my little daughter. I have to say that after raising 2 boys, I did not have any idea on how a Tea party works. Did not know all the preparation that goes with it.  So even though I am getting better at it, I was a complete newbie before my daughter came into my life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, after all the prep that goes before starting the game, we were sitting down taking the tea and all the treats that go with it. We have all kind of \u201cimaginary treats.\u201d  Muffins, croissants, candies, you name it. And of course, we had all kind of delicious jellies to pick from. I think we had more choices there that in any supermarket I have ever been.  (Between you and me, I like this game, because I get to eat so many imaginary treats without worrying about calories, sugar content or anything else).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Going back to the game, while playing it with my daughter, I was trying different choices but my daughter was always suggesting me to try the imaginary croissant with raspberry jelly, she was convinced that it was the \u201cbest option for me.\u201d  She was trying to lead me into the direction of something good and tasty.  She, in her mind, was looking for something that was good for me. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A thought crossed to my mind.  That\u2019s what good leaders do.  When you are really focusing on leading your team into results that will benefit them, that\u2019s real leadership. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Making changes just for the sake of making changes is not a recipe for good results or benefits. Therefore, the leader needs to know the what results and benefits will most likely be obtained if taking a particular path.  Then, the question becomes, if I lead them in that direction, is that really going to benefit them? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If the path won\u2019t lead to good results for the people you are leading, don\u2019t take that route. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This sounds like very simple logic, but trust me, I have seen many team leaders that keep pushing the team to go on a route that won\u2019t deliver good results or the \u201cgood results\u201d aren\u2019t even worth the effort. The team just gets burned out in those cases. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, when you are looking for action paths to lead your team through, before you start any of them, before you start to make any changes, first identify what benefits will come out of them for your team. Are they good? Are they bad? Are they worth the effort?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end, everything that we do as leaders, encompasses time, effort and many other resources, including in some cases money, that needs to be spent. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let\u2019s spend those resources in projects and activities that really deliver benefits for the people that we lead. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

That will help us to create better work environments, better companies, better teams and better families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, in the end, I need to say that yes, the croissant with raspberry jelly was the best option of all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Estaba jugando a la fiesta del t\u00e9 con mi peque\u00f1a hija. Debo decir que despu\u00e9s de criar a 2 ni\u00f1os, no ten\u00eda ni idea de c\u00f3mo funciona una fiesta del t\u00e9. No sab\u00eda toda la preparaci\u00f3n que conlleva. Entonces, aunque estoy mejorando, era un novato completo antes de que mi hija llegara a mi vida. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Entonces, despu\u00e9s de toda la preparaci\u00f3n que se requiere antes de comenzar el juego, nos sentamos a tomar el t\u00e9 y todas las golosinas que lo acompa\u00f1an. Tenemos todo tipo de \"golosinas imaginarias\". Muffins, croissants, dulces, lo que sea. Y por supuesto, ten\u00edamos todo tipo de deliciosas gelatinas para elegir. Creo que ten\u00edamos m\u00e1s opciones all\u00ed que en cualquier supermercado en el que haya estado. (Entre t\u00fa y yo, me gusta este juego, porque puedo comer tantas golosinas imaginarias sin preocuparme por las calor\u00edas, el contenido de az\u00facar o cualquier otra cosa).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Volviendo al juego, mientras lo jugaba con mi hija iba probando diferentes opciones pero mi hija siempre me suger\u00eda probar el croissant imaginario con mermelada de frambuesa, estaba convencida de que era la \u201cmejor opci\u00f3n para m\u00ed\u201d. Ella estaba tratando de guiarme en la direcci\u00f3n de algo bueno y sabroso. Ella, en su mente, estaba buscando algo que fuera bueno para m\u00ed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0Volviendo al juego, mientras lo jugaba con mi hija iba probando diferentes opciones pero mi hija siempre me suger\u00eda probar el croissant imaginario con <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Un pensamiento cruz\u00f3 por mi mente. Eso es lo que hacen los buenos l\u00edderes. Cuando realmente se enfoca en guiar a su equipo hacia resultados que los beneficiar\u00e1n, eso es liderazgo real. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hacer cambios solo por hacer cambios no es una receta para obtener buenos resultados o beneficios. Por lo tanto, el l\u00edder necesita saber qu\u00e9 resultados y beneficios obtendr\u00e1 con mayor probabilidad si toma un camino en particular. Entonces, la pregunta es, si los gu\u00edo en esa direcci\u00f3n, \u00bfeso realmente los beneficiar\u00e1? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Si el camino no conduce a buenos resultados para las personas a las que dirige, no tome ese camino. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Esto suena como una l\u00f3gica muy simple, pero cr\u00e9anme, he visto a muchos l\u00edderes de equipo que siguen presionando al equipo para que siga una ruta que no dar\u00e1 buenos resultados o que los \"buenos resultados\" ni siquiera valen la pena. El equipo simplemente se quema en esos casos. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Entonces, cuando busque caminos de acci\u00f3n para guiar a su equipo, antes de comenzar cualquiera de ellos, antes de comenzar a realizar cambios, primero identifique qu\u00e9 beneficios se derivar\u00e1n de ellos para su equipo. \u00bfEst\u00e1n ellos bien? \u00bfSon malos? \u00bfValen la pena el esfuerzo?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Al final, todo lo que hacemos como l\u00edderes abarca tiempo, esfuerzo y muchos otros recursos, incluido en algunos casos dinero, que debe gastarse. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gastemos esos recursos en proyectos y actividades que realmente generen beneficios para las personas que lideramos. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eso nos ayudar\u00e1 a crear mejores ambientes de trabajo, mejores empresas, mejores equipos y mejores familias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As\u00ed que al final tengo que decir que s\u00ed, el croissant con mermelada de frambuesa fue la mejor opci\u00f3n de todas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
